Has anyone had an issue with their dog eating it's paws? I know it is allergies but nothing seems to help. I have changed his food, given him benedryl, applied hydrocortisone, etc. What have you done to help this issue?
I have an American Bulldog who has allergy outbreaks. I try not to go the antibiotic/steroid route unless absolutely necessary. My wonderful Vet gave me some Imu oil that I rub on her paws - or any hot spot - which keeps the flair ups under control. I also use coconut oil, which has antibacterial properties. I put it on her paws, ears, belly and chin. And if she licks either one of the products I don't have to be concerned.
